Astroland Amusement Park is a historical landmark, known world wide for its famous Coney Island location. Located on the Boardwalk at Coney Island Astroland is surrounded by attractions for the entire family.
The world famous Cyclone roller coaster first introduced in 1927 was named a New York City Landmark in 1988 as well as a National Landmark in 1991. This wooden coaster was influential and the predecessor for the modern day thrill machines.
There are rides and amusements for all ages. A kiddie section features all the favorite rides to keep the kids happy, a carousel, boat rides, a minis sized coaster will keep them occupied. Aside from the Cyclone, there are rides to thrill and spook the adults. Dante's Inferno is one of the scariest haunted houses that you'll find, definitely not for the little ones. If you don't get cold feet at the thought of heights, then the Astrotower is for you, at 125 feet tall you'll get the best view of the park, beach and Atlantic Ocean.
Three arcades provide all the latest video and pinball machines, and over 10 games of chance are offered on the midway each awarding prize.
Astroland is opened daily from Labor day through Memorial Day. Organized groups of 15 people or more receive discounts with an advanced reservation, packages that include food and beverages are available.
