Water Safari & Enchanted Forest, New York
New Yorks largest water them park is Water Safari & Enchanted Forest. Water Safer is located in Old Forge New York and was opened in 1956. 2006 marks its 50th Anniversary.
With over 50 rides and attractions Water Safari offers something for visitors of all ages. There are water rides as well as thrill rides and rides dedicated just to the little ones. And all the water at Water Safari is heated between 77 and 80 degrees.
If you like it wet, Water Safari is the place for you. There are over 15 water rides, with something for everyone. If you like you're water rides with a little thrill mixed in, then take a 280 foot slide at 30 miles per hour on Killermanjaro, a wild ride for sure. The Black River is a 500 foot dark tube that plunges you splashing into a heated pool. Raging Rapids is tube ride that speeds you bumpy, turning rapids with a big splash at the end.
There are cool water attractions for just the kids as well. Kids love the Kid Was, a pretend car wash that they can walk through and see what it feel like to be a car! The Sawmill is a family waterslide that everyone can enjoy; with various levels children and parents of all ages.
Water Safari also offers classic amusement park rides such as the carousel, Helicopters, Tilt A Whirl, Ferris Wheel and Round Up. The park also presents a great Circus Show twice a day complete with clowns, a Tiger Trainer and Acrobats.
Food and beverages are plenty and available throughout the park. French Fries, pizza and BBQ are some of the favorites. Paul Bunyan's All-U-Can Eat Adirondack BBQ is a feast of chicken, burgers, hot dogs and ribs, but is only open for one hour a day. Check out the new and very hot Dippin Dots Kiosk, one of the latest crazes dippin dots are tiny 'dots' of flavored ice cream.
Water Safari is really a great value for a large family or group traveling by bus charter. They offer free parking and their parking lot has space for the large sized charter bus.
