Playland's Castaway Cove, is a traditional amusement park that offers family entertainment on the Ocean City New Jersey boardwalk. As they say "Just look for the Pirate Ship"!
Playland has a nice collection of rides and amusements, as well as a great selection of thrill rides. If you're daring enough, the Double Shot rockets you up to 110 feet and then drops you at an equally quick pace. Always a favorite is the Gravitron, a chamber that spins, while the floor drops you stay stuck to the wall. For true thrill seekers the Python is a high speed roller coaster that has a loop which turns you upside down at a furious speed.
There are many family rides at Playland. The classic bumper cars aren't fun just for the kids, and the Ferris Wheel offers a great view of the entire island of Ocean City and Atlantic City as well. The High Seas is a log flume ride that has a 45 ft drop with a huge splash waiting. You can even get a picture of your High Seas splash landing.
Playland has a great classic Arcade. You can win prizes as you show off your skills. This arcade has sports related games such as hockey, basketball and football as well as the classic Skee Ball. Also on premises is the Golden Galleon Pirates Miniature Golf, with two 19 hole pirate themed challenging courses.
Food and beverages are everywhere. You can smell the pop corn and cotton all over the park. Pizza, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and other traditional fare are available.
