Gatorland, Orlando Florida
When on a bus charter day-trip to Orlando Florida a favorite tourist attraction is Gatorland. The name says it all, Gatorland is a 110 acre alligator theme park perfect for a group or family.
For over 50 years, Gatorland has been dazzling visitors with its alligator displays. Gatorland offers an alternative to the big theme parks, which after a while all seem the same. Not only a theme park, Gatorland is also a wildlife preserve home to over a thousand alligators as well as other reptiles and birds from all over the world. Alligator Shows are given daily, which give visitors an opportunity to learn more about these amazing creatures.
The Gator Jumparoo Show displays some of the largest alligators in the world jumping up to 5 feet out of the water to get their food. Trainers actually hand feed the jumping alligators, some of which are over 12 feet long. The Upclose Encounters exhibit brings visitors face to face with some of Florida's most amazing and sometimes dangerous wildlife, including some of the most poisonous snakes on earth.
You'll not be surprised to find that most of the largest alligators in the park have names. This is not for entertainment purposes only, the trainers at Gatorland have trained these alligators to respond to commands by calling the alligators name. Visit Alligator Island to see Alf, a 1 ton 15 foot American Alligator.
Gatorland is really a great stop for the entire family or a group traveling to Florida by bus charter. The park offers a great opportunity to learn more about these truly amazing creatures, and the staff at Gatorland is one of the most talented on earth when it comes to handling and training gators. Group discounts are available, including a great Birthday Party Package. Call 800-393-JAWS ext. 46 Monday through Friday for details.
